Since 1997, no new teams have debuted in the Women’s Cricket World Cup. Eight teams have participated in every edition.
In Women’s Cricket World Cup history, Australia has won the trophy seven times. In the final of the 2022 edition at Christchurch in New Zealand, the Aussies defeated England by 71 runs, making them the reigning champions of the marquee tournament.
